Absinthe Bar & Bistro - Die Grüne Fee

Die Bar wird immer wieder für Fotoaufnahmen und Dreharbeiten gebucht und ist zum festen Bestandteil des Solothurner Tourismus- und Kulturangebots geworden. Bei den besonderen Apèros servieren sie nicht nur Absinthe, sondern unterhalten die Gäste mit spannenden Geschichten über das legendenumwobene Getränk.

Absinthe
"Messieurs, c'est l'Heure" hiess es am 7. Oktober 1910, als in der Schweiz die Prohibition des Absinthe in Kraft trat und das kleine Val de Travers im Schweizer Jura jenes Produkts beraubte, das als Treibstoff der Dichter und Denker des europäischen Fin de Siècle zu Weltruhm gekommen war. Während Künstler und Kreative den reinen Absinthe als inspirierende Muse und Grüne Fee in den Himmel lobten, hatten billige Kopien, mit Chemikalien und Industriealkohol verfälscht, ihn zu der gefährlichen Massendroge gemacht, die dann verboten wurde. Doch im Verborgenen lebte die traditionelle Produktion des originalen Absinthe in seinem Heimattal fort.

Tip
The Mobile Absinthe Bar can be hired for events. The 30-year-old Mercedes Hanomag bus is ideal for events with that certain something.

For absinthe connoisseurs we recommend the absinthe tasting with a personal choice of five different types of absinthe. For groups from 4 to 12 people.
