Konzertsaal Solothurn

The Concert Hall was designed at the same time as the neighbouring Art Museum and opened in 1900. The building was devised by the Swiss architect Alexander Koch in 1896. It was based on the Swiss National Museum in Zurich, and the building’s appearance was influenced by the local architectural style. With its historicising architecture, the imposing structure was designed to mesh with the city wall dating from the Middle Ages. The two rooms offer outstanding acoustics and serve as a venue for concerts and other events.

Hire for events
Solothurn’s Concert Hall can seat up to 590 people. There are three spaces available for your event: the large concert hall, the small concert hall and the foyer.

Accessibility
The Concert Hall is not wheelchair accessible.
