How to get there

•     Public transport: The Emmental is easily accessible by train from Solothurn, Bern or Willisau via Burgdorf or from Thun via Konolfingen and Langnau.
•     Cycling: Numerous official SwitzerlandMobility cycle routes run through the Emmental, including the popular Heart Route No. 99.
•     Car: The Emmental can be reached by car from Solothurn via Burgdorf in 30 minutes.

You don't always need the Bernese Alps to go hiking: countless wonderful hiking trails run through the "Ämmitau". You can enjoy the view over the Emmental and the sunrise or sunset, for example, from the "Chuderhüsi" lookout tower in Röthenbach or the Lueg monument near Affoltern.
