Grenchen

Grenchen, the second largest town in the canton of Solothurn, is considered one of the most green towns in Switzerland. Arrival

Train: To the "Grenchen" stop. Then a short 5-minute walk to the town centre.

By boat: Grenchen can be reached by boat from Biel or Solothurn. From the boat landing it is a 45-minute walk. Timetable

From the town of Grenchen, you can reach the Unteren Grenchenberg (1300 m.a.s.l.) via the Stierenberg and Wäsmeli (1102 m.a.s.l.) in about 90 minutes on foot. After a further 20 minutes' walk you reach the Obergrenchenberg (1348 m.a.s.l.).
