Solothurn Art Museum

The Solothurn Art Museum has an extensive collection ranging from the late Middle Ages to the present day. One focus is on Swiss art of the 19th and 20th centuries. In addition to unique works by Ferdinand Hodler and Cuno Amiet, highlights include the work of Meret Oppenheim, Eva Aeppli and Aloïse. Changing special exhibitions build bridges to contemporary artists and current themes. Free admission and a varied programme of events and mediation make participation possible for everyone.

Entry to the Solothurn Art Museum is free. However, Jean Tinguely’s ‘Bettler’ (beggar) in the foyer invites you to make a voluntary donation.
